It is important to know that these both cannot fall under the same page. So there is a relative difference between public relations and advertising.<\/p>\n<p><b>Knowing the basic difference:<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The most basic yet important difference between them is that advertising is paid media while <a href=\"https:\/\/scoreindia.org\/blog\/why-is-public-relations-important\/\">public relations<\/a> is earned media.<\/p>\n<p><b>In-depth understanding of Public Relations and Advertising:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PR is earned as they provide information to the media about the organisations or brand. It is very essential in maintaining the reputation of the organisation through investors, press releases, pitches as well as the employees.<\/li>\n<li>There are internal teams in organisations as corporate communications departments that are largely responsible for managing the reputation of the organisation\/ brand.<\/li>\n<li>The brands can also work with the external agency known as a PR agency. They serve various functions according to the needs of the particular brand.<\/li>\n<li>Advertising provides information about the products, services and ideas. Advertising also involves marketing and marketing communication. The process of planning and executing the price, promotion and distribution of a product or brand goods and services.<\/li>\n<li>There are marketing departments there are largely responsible for driving demand and selling profits.<\/li>\n<li>For advertising, these departments work for \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.webfx.com\/blog\/marketing\/what-is-a-marketing-agency\/\">marketing
