{"id":378,"date":"2017-10-07T19:50:33","date_gmt":"2017-10-07T19:50:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scoreindia.org\/blog\/?p=378"},"modified":"2024-08-21T10:30:05","modified_gmt":"2024-08-21T10:30:05","slug":"masterclass-social-pr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scoreindia.org\/blog\/masterclass-social-pr\/","title":{"rendered":"Masterclass on Social PR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recalling Masterclass by\u00a0Shonali Burke, Nicole Fichardo, Class of 2017, shares her learning on Social PR<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>To yet another beautiful morning, on the 9th of Jan 2017, we had a day long workshop with <a href=\"https:\/\/shonaliburke.com\">Shonali Burke<\/a> on Social PR, founder and owner of Shonali Burke Consultancy in Washington. A smart woman with a dynamic personality, the entire day with her was worth it.<\/p>\n<h3>The day began with a small exercise that she asked us to do online, to find out which Social PR superhero am I.<\/h3>\n<p>While some got their answers as Batman, Superwoman, Iron man and so on, the result I received was Captain America. The qualities related to it are team work, traditional values, live and let live attitude, modest, excellence manager etc. \u00a0We enjoyed playing the quiz again and again, as it caught our fancy.<\/p>\n<p>After that, She spoke to us about the 7C Social PR framework. The relevant C\u2019s are \u2013 Corollary, Creativity, Content, Conversation, Community, Collaboration and Caliberation. \u00a0Each had an explanation of its own.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Corollary<\/strong> meant that with no planning at all, everything would go al haywire. We need to pinpoint what we actually are trying to tell.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Creativity<\/strong> should be made a habit, one should be flexible, one should know as to what is the best way to stand out..<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/scoreindia.org\/blog\/creating-great-content-publicrelations\/\"><strong>Content<\/strong> <\/a>is what actually drives consumers to buy a product. Content is the heart of Social PR.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Conversations<\/strong>: Social PR isn\u2019t about just communicating but listening to people as well.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Community<\/strong> is like a ship, everyone ought to be ready to take the helm (Henrick Ibsen).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Collaboration<\/strong> should be encouraged, be supportive of each other but not codependent.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Calibration<\/strong> means measurement..
