This event will be held on <\/span><b>3rd March, 2022,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from 2:00 pm &#8211; 6:00 pm. IICC 2022 will be a platform for an active dialogue and inclusive interaction on \u201cGender Equality Today for a Better Tomorrow\u201d through five different panels\u00a0 on issues ranging from Gender Equality, Women Leadership, Mental Health &amp; Wellness to Breaking the Bias &amp; Community over Competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This conclave aims to draw attention to various issues faced by women. At the core of which lies in Women Leadership. Under-representation of women at work in leadership roles, is one of the pressing issues in modern times. The traditional, stereotypical distribution roles of Man being the breadwinner and women being the caregiver still limits many women from taking up top positions at work. This is also a reason for microaggressions, sexism and bias at workplaces. The constant\u00a0 \u2018balancing act\u2019 of managing work and family life is taxing upon women, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">unable to hold higher positions than their male counterparts, placing them on an uneven playing field. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, the problem of workplace-harassment, deters women from taking leadership roles altogether. Although there are regulations and dedicated committees\u00a0 at offices that help to tackle the issue, this hasn\u2019t provided a solution, entirely. Stereotypical notions of male leadership evidently drive more societal support than that towards women. It creates a challenge for women to form beneficial alliances, strategic relationships, voice their choices, beliefs and opinions. This is incredibly strenuous and takes a toll on women\u2019s health and wellness. They tend to even suffer from issues like the \u201cImposter Syndrome\u201d, making a woman feel under confident and unable to make accomplishments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Stats from a survey by the Pew Research Center, displaying % of people answering \u2018YES\u2019:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a) Many businesses are not ready to hire women for top executive positions \u2013 67%<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">b) Family responsibilities don\u2019t leave time for running a major corporation \u2013 58%<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">c) Women don\u2019t have access to the same kinds of connections as men \u2013 47%<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">d) Women aren\u2019t tough enough for business \u2013 31%<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e) Women don\u2019t make as good managers as men \u2013 21%<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Egon Zehnder Global Diversity Report 2020,only<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 17% of women hold\u00a0 top positions in corporate India, since the past decade. More women need to be encouraged to pursue leadership roles,\u00a0 by creating equal opportunities, flexible working conditions, training and sensitizing work culture. To create further support for women, corporations can take up initiatives to promote leadership and community mobilization at grass root levels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>The second group of Corporate
