So, networking is interacting with people of similar interest or profession and sharing information, ideas with them for mutual benefits. One can network in an event, social media, office or any professional platform.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_are_the_Benefits_of_Networking_in_Public_Relations\"><\/span><b>What are the Benefits of Networking in Public Relations?<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After knowing what networking is, it is compulsory to know why we network. Followings are the mentioned reasons of networking:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Visibility &amp; recognition- <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everyone wants to be recognised in their respective field. Once we are visible to others in the throng, recognition follows. Networking\u2019s first purpose is to be visible among your peers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>To widen our knowledge about our profession and interest- <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the definition of networking says sharing of information and ideas on similar interes\/professions, this is how one expands his\/her knowledge while networking.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>To know about unadvertised opportunities- <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are many opportunities about which many are unaware. Such opportunities open up when we interact and share our ideas with other people. Some people create opportunities for themselves while networking.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>To seek mentors &amp; sponsors- <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A person who has just begun their profession needs a mentor, just as someone who has already launched a firm or idea needs sponsors, which they can find through networking.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Peer support- <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Peer support can be obtained through exchanging interesting ideas. This may also be advantageous to both parties.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Power &amp; Confidence- <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can gain some power and authority to advance in your profession more easily by creating networks.
