In this blog, the student of SCoRe, Summer Class of 2025, Shaili Lodariya, tells us about how from numbers to narratives: Journey into PR came into being for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why I Chose PR Education at SCoRe<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Growing up, I was always fascinated by the power of stories. Whether it was through books, movies, or even the advertisements on TV, I was captivated by the way narratives could shape perceptions and influence emotions. However, as I progressed in my education, I found myself diving into the world of finance. I completed my BCom and even reached the CA Final, a rigorous and stable career path that many aspire to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet, something was missing. Despite the stability and respect that came with a career, there was a spark\u2014a curiosity about the power of communication and its ability to shape perceptions and influence decisions. I realized that PR wasn\u2019t just about managing information; it was about crafting narratives, fostering connections, and driving change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leaving the sturdy and stable path of a CA to dive into the world of PR wasn\u2019t an easy decision. It was a leap of faith, driven by passion and the desire to be part of a field that thrives on creativity and innovation. The transition was challenging, but it was also incredibly rewarding. I found myself excited about learning new skills, understanding the intricacies of media relations, and exploring the endless possibilities that PR offers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Public Relations, to me, is more than a career choice. It\u2019s about being the voice behind the scenes, shaping the narrative and making a difference. The ability to influence public perception, build trust and create impactful stories is what drew me to this field. In PR, I see the opportunity to combine my analytical skills from finance with my passion for storytelling, creating a unique blend that can drive meaningful conversations and change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the line of Public Relations is fairly new to me, I have learnt from referencing and my own research that the subject of PR doesn’t stop here. It is much more. At PR, you not only manage the reputation of the brands but become brand custodians of these brands. In simple terms, you are responsible of upholding the image of the brand, lead the crisis management team, come up with content creation and planning of campaigns and its CSR activities; building connections with the journalists and above all promote your brand through PESO method- paid, earned, shared and owned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At SCoRe, I\u2019m eager to dive deeper into this field. I\u2019m looking forward to learning from industry experts, engaging with innovative campaigns, and contributing my unique perspective to the PR community. I\u2019m excited about the journey ahead and the endless opportunities for creativity, innovation, and growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
