The last ten months of my life as a Public Relations Student can be described as the most happening and the most challenging phase of my life. If you ask me, ‘Did you enjoy this ride?’ I would say, ‘Yes, I did.’ But if you ask, ‘Are you exhausted?’ I would rather say, ‘ No, I am ready for the new adventures in life.’ This has always been my attitude and SCoRe has helped me to develop much better attitude in life. Today, when I think about what have I achieved in this ten months of time from SCoRe. Here are few of
My Achievements as a Public Relations Student at SCoRe
Keep learning– As a Public Relations Student, we have been always asked to learn every day. In SCoRe, our faculties always reminded us to learn, un-learn, re-learn every day. I have been able to maintain this attitude during the entire programme.
It is all about the attitude– The ‘never give-up’ attitude has been my companion right from my childhood. As an arts student who had no idea about business, marketing etc there were days, when I thought let me just give it up and get back to my world of literature. I feel SCoRe gave me confidence to keep trying hard and be focused to achieve more.
Never say never– Arithmetic, IT need not be everyone’s favourite subjects during our school time. Like many arts students, I was one among them to hate these two subjects. As I entered to the first trimester of SCoRe, Data analytics came in as an uninvited guest to our classes. This gave shiver, trigger and what not. But, during this course what I realised was to never say never to any subjects or courses.
Networking– This was an important learning and something I have tried to improve as an Individual throughout the programme- networking skills. Starting from PRCAI engage to Information Communication conclave, even as a Public Relations Student I was able to meet hundreds of professionals from the PR fraternity, this enabled me to understand how to interact well with the professionals.
Build your own reputation– We as Public Relations Student have been insisted to be active on LinkedIn and twitter as well as to maintain a personal blog. This is to build our own reputation and identity. I have been trying to excel at this aspect during the duration of the programme and will continue to do the same. Thanks a lot to School of Communication and Reputation for all the great memories. It has been a great ride.
Now, let us try to be the best PR professional.
