A Week that was true to its name: H.E.L.L. Week (High Engagement Learning Leg) As the name implies, my first week at SCoRe was intense and unlike anything I’ve experienced before. We weren't merely students during our first week; we were supposed to function as a real PR agency, working with actual clients under real-time deadlines. Each team was given a distinct client brief, and we were expected to plan, strategize, and carry out our tasks as experts would from the very beginning.

What distinguishes “I am a great worker” from “Trust me, he is a great worker” ? Today, we have been fortunate enough to attend a masterclass with Mr. Vineet Handa, the man behind Kaizzen PR.
This class made us realize how the difference between PR and advertising is way beyond earned and paid media. Internet and Open AI may have made this distinction easier for us to grasp, but Mr. Handa, guided us to see how advertising is “I am a great worker”, whereas PR is “Trust me, he is a great worker”; a clear, straightforward distinction.

This week, we had an incredible opportunity to spend a day at Akasa Air, and it was nothing short of insightful. We got to interact with some brilliant minds who gave us a 360° view of how communications work in the aviation industry.
And yes, we also got a behind-the-scenes tour of their office, which made us appreciate the massive effort that goes into making flights run smoothly every single day!
A big thank you to Akasa Air for hosting us and for making this incredible learning experience possible.

Today, when we say we are PR professionals, only 4 out of 10 in a room truly understand the meaning of Public Relations. But a decade ago, even those 4 found it difficult to grasp the term. Undoubtedly, the field has grown and is shining in the market space, but who are the people behind this growth?
It's people like us, who were once learners and today drive the PR world forward. Because of them, brands now listen to us, value our insights, and want us beside them to shape their businesses.

Praxis 12 was more than an industry event — it was a reminder of why I chose Public Relations in the first place.
The long nights of volunteering, the backstage rush of Fulcrum Awards, and the endless energy of my peers turned fatigue into fuel. Packing 500 tote bags in two hours, with Bollywood songs keeping us going, didn’t feel like work — it felt like building memories.
The real privilege, however, was sitting across the table from pioneers in PR.

PR gives me the opportunity to engage with a vast variety of listeners, organisations and clients, and to learn directly the deep effect that Listening, Clarity and Empathy can play on how a Narrative is shaped. There is so much more to learning about, growing with and exploring the constantly evolving world of Public Relations.

It is a wonder how two days of PRAXIS flew by, leaving behind a gallery and a heart full of memories. From late-night work sessions to conversations that were even more nourishing than the food, I got to experience the power of communication firsthand this weekend.
I'm thankful for a lot of reasons, but here are a few:-
I am grateful to Kaizzen for giving us the chance to attend and volunteer at a place where the energy of the speakers, delegates and organisers turned every moment into a learning opportunity.

I didn’t plan on choosing PR. It actually began with my love for Hindi literature. I enjoyed reading it so much that I naturally slipped into writing. Poems, small reflections, content for college projects anything that let me play with language.
Because of that, content writing became a big part of my life. And somewhere in that process, I realised something simple. Good writing is not just about words. It is about shaping how people think, feel, and respond. That is exactly what PR does, just on a larger canvas.

Questions started coming to my mind, how would it help me grow in certain aspects - awareness, knowledge, and experiences one aspires to gain. Opportunity to work around in multiple sectors and the way it sharpens one's intellect. The awareness of the humongous media landscape one tends to navigate. All these factors deepened my interest towards this profession and I would continue growing.

Attending the #ICCOGlobalSummit in Mumbai gave me the kind of clarity you only get when you step out of classrooms and hear the industry talk to itself honestly. It was two days of perspectives that made me realise how much is changing and how much I still need to learn. I also connected with people from across the world who gave me meaningful insights and helped me see how PR varies from one culture to another.

What started as simple curiosity slowly became something I connected with on a deeper level. Through my projects, readings and experiences, I realised how much I enjoy crafting ideas, understanding audiences and building conversations that matter. PR gave me the space to explore creativity with purpose, not just expression.

A few months ago, I was a graduate girl unsure of what direction to take next. I felt confused, overwhelmed, and constantly questioning my path. Then, one random day, a simple conversation with my brother changed everything. He mentioned public relations something I had never seriously considered before.
That small moment opened a door.
