27th and 28th September 2019, Well, these have been the two most memorable days of my life. As a winning gift of the PRCAI contest, I got this wonderful opportunity to meet new people and become a part of PRAXIS 8 in Goa. I would say I got truly lucky, what a beautiful place!
It feels as if it has been the turning point of my life. I feel full of energy, zeal, and motivation after attending the conference for two days. Meeting the Directors, Founders, CEOs and Communication professionals of various companies was truly overwhelming. We, the winners of the PRCAI contest were also given a shoutout, honestly, we were on cloud nine.
There were close to 300 corporate communication professionals. Interaction with these dignitaries from various fields and it was just too good to be described in words. Life gives us endless opportunities and then there are a few which turn your life upside down and give you a direction. I am a communication postgraduate student, public relations professional is all that I have aspired to be. It’s about building relationships, meeting people and sharing a vibe with them.
We learned about the importance of trust-building in PR as the theme of this year’s event was “Building trust is at the core of Public Relations.” Trust and respect and are two important pillars of any relationship, be it between two people, among a group of people or various agencies and organizations. Mutual trust, respect, and understanding are key to any successful PR campaign. It’s all about connecting well with your audience and building a worthy relationship with all different entities you work with and especially with your stakeholders.
The answer lies in the word itself. PRAXIS has been derived from a Latin word ‘to act’ or ‘to do’. You get to meet people from distinct parts of the world. All communication professionals come together for two days sharing their ideas, experiences, and philosophies. What can be a better place to learn than that? It’s all about learning, sharing, connecting and creating memories.
The conference was very engaging and informative as we got the opportunity to hear some eminent speakers like Shivkumar, Richa Chadda, Devdutt Patnaik, Greg Galant, Peter Debreceny, Barri Friedman Rafferty and many more.
