Ever since I have been a part of SCoRe I have had the privilege to associate with many professionals from the PR fraternity. Each conversation initiated has always helped me discover how to arrange the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle. However, only a few conversations create an impact and choose to remain forever. A session with Mr. Faizan Aboli occurred to be an unplanned one as it was not a part of the scheduled agenda*. Mr. Aboli has been a part of the PR business for 15 years. He comes with valuable experience from both the corporate communications and consultancy side.
*As a part of the programme, students spend 1-2 days at various PR consultancies, learning from & interacting with senior PR professionals. This interaction happened at Ketchum Sampark, Mumbai.
Mr. Aboli expressed his desire to study further after his under graduation, however circumstances did not let him continue. He told us how important it is for every PR professional to be proactive and dedicate extra hours to develop a new skill. PR is a business which promises impeccable growth, unlike the rest. But, it depends on an individual how they choose to consume the data and grow as perfect assets to the industry.
Aboli told us how he would not shy away to raise his hand and put forward his opinions even though he was an at the executive level. This initiative taken by him helped him seek his CEO’s faith which later led him to handle IPO’s across various industries during his tenure. He mentioned that it is important for us to dedicate extra time and learn about other industries as it can come in aid anytime.
After discussing various campaigns done under his leadership and awards won under various categories he signed off saying, “Never stop learning”.
