Saloni Kumari writes in her blog how studying PR course for a PR profession is very important.
Choosing PR as a career wasn’t a sudden decision for me, it was a gradual journey. This unfolded during my time as a journalism student. Initially, I was captivated by the world of journalism. The thrill of chasing stories, uncovering the truth, and sharing it with the world. However, as I delved deeper into my studies and started gaining practical experience, I began to notice something intriguing about Public Relations.
While working as an intern at various PR firms, I often interacted with PR professionals. Their role in shaping narratives, managing public perceptions, and creating compelling stories for their clients caught my attention. I realised that PR was not just about promoting a brand or managing a crisis, its about understanding the intricacies of communication. PR is all about building relationships and influencing opinions in a positive way.

One particular experience stands out. During an internship at Indian Railways, I came to know how the PR team of Indian Railways handle communication crisis. Observing the PR team navigate the situation with strategic communication, empathy, and precision was a turning point for me. I saw firsthand how powerful effective PR could be in not only salvaging a brand’s reputation but also in rebuilding trust and credibility.
I also appreciated the proactive nature of PR. Unlike journalism, which often reacts to events. PR allows you to be at the forefront, creating and controlling the narrative. This proactive approach to communication, combined with the creativity involved in crafting messages and campaigns, resonated with me deeply.
Moreover, the versatility of PR appealed to my diverse interests. Whether it’s working with non-profits, corporate giants, or emerging startups, the scope of PR is vast and dynamic. It offers the opportunity to work across different industries and tackle various challenges, ensuring that no two days are the same.

This is my ultimate reason why I am serious for studying PR course for a PR profession that I am aspired to become.
