Public relations has always fascinated me because of its power to influence perception and build trust. As I explored more about PR during my undergraduate studies, I realised how much I connect with this field and how deeply I want to pursue a PR career.
Growing up, I was captivated by how stories shape perception. Whether it was a brand’s campaign, a political message, or a social movement, I noticed how the right words, visuals, and timing could shift opinions, spark conversations, and build reputations. That curiosity naturally led me to the world of PR and strengthened my ambition to make it my career.
PR, to me, is more than just managing an image—it’s about building trust through meaningful communication. I’ve always enjoyed connecting with people, understanding their perspectives, and finding ways to align messages with values.
During my undergraduate journey in Journalism and Mass Communication, I discovered how a PR career brings together creativity, strategy, and human insight—three areas I’m deeply passionate about. Classroom discussions, campaigns, and internships exposed me to real-life case studies where PR professionals became the voice of brands and organisations.
What inspired me most was realising that PR professionals have the power to influence change, not just for brands but for society at large. Whether it’s crisis communication, reputation management, or brand storytelling, PR is where purpose meets persuasion.
Experts often say PR professionals are custodians of trust. They help brands navigate complex issues, take a stand on social matters, and connect with audiences in authentic ways. This responsibility and impact make PR my dream profession.
