Hi, I’m Nitin Pawar, a BMS Marketing student, digital marketer, public speaker, and business enthusiast. My diverse experiences have shown me the power of effective communication in building success. To communicate effectively, we need strong relationships with key players like reporters, influencers, and other media contacts. These connections allow for more efficient and impactful communication with stakeholders.
PR is a dynamic field that combines creativity with strategic communication. It helps us hone skills in effective writing, presentation, and research, all crucial for building strong relationships with stakeholders. These skills are essential for developing PR strategies, maintaining positive media relations, and effectively managing crises when they arise. The profession also fosters problem-solving skills, allowing you to navigate interactions with multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
Before joining the course, I made sure that I want to equip myself with certain tools and reading materials that PR course expects the students to follow and practice. I found out about our academic council and academic board members on LinkedIn and followed them, began following their industries closely and started reading up.
Writing blogs is a another major challenge that PR takes up very seriously. I installed few apps that would help me with writing like Grammarly, WordTune, ChatGPT. For news I tried to upskill myself by reading not only one single newspaper, but also following business news and subscribing to The Economic Times and Business Standards.
Putting on the notification buttons would keep the recent updates on my fingertips. I may not become jack of all trades, but I surely want to be a leader in the industry I have chose to make my career in.
