Recalling Masterclasses at Adfactors PR by their leadership, Nicole Fichardo, Class of 2017, shares her learning of Principles of PR
At Adfactors PR we had a session with Mr. Arnob Mukherjee, who discussed with us what PR is all about.
He started the class by asking us our understanding of the domain of PR. Following which he told us that PR has no downtime. Anything can happen anytime, all we have to do is stay alert.
PR professionals are now claimed to be known as the positive journalists by their clients, because the role of PR is to create the best image of a brand in the eyes of its consumers.
Reputation is nothing but the perception in the consciousness of others. Public Relations is all about building and protecting the reputation of a brand, be it online or offline.
When dealing with clients, build stories around the client based on what people would want to hear.
When an organisations ability to grow stops, it dies. To build perceptions you need to hold onto conversations, for PR professionals as we all know, are known to be effective storytellers.
Nicole is currently a Junior Account Executive at Avian Media, one of India’s leading PR firms, where she received an internship and a final offer out of Class of 2017 of SCoRe. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Her interest in working in areas that give her a chance to interact with people drove her towards a career in PR. She’s interested in photography, exploring new places, is a movie addict and a music lover.
